Billy Goes to War was a new play for New Zealand produced in Kerikeri written and directed by David Crewe. Produced with the community theatre company this show brought people of all walks of life together to examine the heartache and sacrifice made by soldiers and their families in the first world war.

Technically this show required some special effects including the poppy drop seen below. Working with local students we managed to meet the director’s technical needs and produced one of the best community shows in the region.

Billy Goes to War did not leave a dry eye in the audience.
