The Comedy of Errors
Nelson Summer Shakespeare
Directed by Giles Burton
Produced by Kim Bailey.
The Comedy of Errors was successful at bringing both new audiences and seasoned theatre-goers to watch Shakespeare. The relaxed environment of the parks allowed families to attend the show and introduce the next generation to Shakespeare. A beloved experience in the top of the south.
For the first time, the team took the show to Blenheim with over 200 attending the event.
This “Pay what you decide” show allows everyone to attend the theatre.
A professional cast took the audience on a journey with plenty of laughs.
Review- Hugh Neill
“You can’t beat a couple of hours sitting on the grass or (in my case to take account of my advanced years!) a chair upon the meadow above Fairfield House to watch a piece of Shakespeare by a group of actors, who not only were so polished in their craft but also obviously so enjoyed doing it. Accompanied by a picnic and a glass of wine just adds the cream to what was a most enjoyable evening.
Special wraps must also go to Giles Burton for his inspired casting and direction and also to the producer Kim Bailey. ”
